The Brief

Kick Point has worked with SB Partners since 2003 and helped them migrate through three website redesigns, the rise of social media and mobile devices, and multiple major changes to how Google ranks websites. Through all these changes, SB Partners has grown their business and developed a loyal client base – they’ve won “Best Accounting Firm” in Burlington for the past eight years in a row.

SB Partners has relied on us to provide strategic direction for their different marketing initiatives. They have a talented team of accountants but didn’t know how to compete against the major accounting firms such as Deloitte that had started to target Burlington in the early 2000s. We worked with them to articulate what makes them unique and determine the best kinds of clients for their firm.

The Approach

Over the many years we’ve worked together, our responsibilities have involved guiding them on the best way to use their online and offline marketing dollars, ensuring that their online experience works harmoniously with their offline campaigns, and making recommendations on new technologies (such as blogging and social media) that arose as digital marketing evolved.

The deliverables we’ve worked on has varied over the years, and has included website design, paid advertising, search engine optimization, copywriting, and social media strategy.

The Impact

SB Partners’ business has grown every year since they started working with us – even during the 2008 recession. They have never been hit by a Google penalty of any kind as we’ve always been focused on long-term success over short-term tricks. They continue to dominate the search engine results for their service area and are building an engaged social media audience.
